Review of MIFID2/MIFIR package

While the texts published in 2014 (2014/65 and 600/2014) covered a very large spectrum (market structure, investor protection, regulatory transaction reporting, etc), the 2024 developments focus on certain points: the establishment of consolidated tapes (CT), a general ban of the “payment for order flows” practice or the introduction of new rules on commodity derivatives.

Both texts will enter into force on 28 March 2024 (20 calendar days after their publication in the Official Journal).
