Paola Deantoni appointed as a member of the Consultative Working Group for ESMA's Post Trading Working Group
ESMA announced the appointment of Paola Deantoni, Public Affairs Officer at Societe Generale Securities Services, as a member of the Consultative Working Group for its Post Trading Working Group (PTWG).
The main task of the above-mentioned consultative Group is to address post-trading issues regarding market infrastructures, processes, or operations.
In line with the ESMA 2023-2028 strategy, the PTWG will consider in all its activities how to contribute to effective financial markets and financial stability, supervision and supervisory convergence, retail investor protection, sustainable finance as well as technological innovation and increased use of data.
The forward-looking vision should lead to a global evolution in line with ESMA's strategy, in order to address the many technological, regulatory, economic and security challenges facing our industry.
Paola Deantoni commented:
It is an honour for me to have been appointed as a member of the PTWG and to support ESMA in its objectives of investor protection, market integrity and financial stability. I believe that a constructive dialogue with all partners and authorities will hopefully be a force of proposal for the benefit of the financial center and all the players in the post-trade sector.
